Baccarat Rules

Baccarat is a card game with three outcomes: a win for the player, a loss for the banker, and a tie. The winner is the player who has more cards than the banker. Players can make a bet on any of the three outcomes, but can only win if their total is higher than the banker’s.

Baccarat is played with eight decks of cards and can have up to fourteen players. The cards are worth one if they are face up, but are worth zero if they are face down. Aces count as one. Double digit numbers are worth one less, and a six-to-seven-digit number is worth three. If a player has a hand valued between eight and nine, it is a ‘natural’.

Baccarat players must follow the rules laid out by the dealer. He or she will guide players as to when to draw the third card, and how many cards to cut at the start of the game. If you are unsure about the baccarat rules, try playing a free demo version.
